Created a workflow which triggers in background on Trace entity "create" (Record is created" option checked in Workflow configuration).
We are sending emails on trace record creation. (Example use case: user mailbox errors should be reported in email)
However, we are observing that records that have their CreatedOn in previous years e.g. 2014 are also getting sent out. (these records have their Regarding set to the configured Email Server profile).
Such records are having their Modified On set to today's date.
Any ideas of this behavior? Why traces related to email server profiles that were created on past years are getting sent out in email when workflow is configured to run on record creation?
