Hi all,

I tried to install Management reporter server components however installation stops and error message pops out as per below:

"Management Reporter configuration failed. See the log file for more information.

Result 'Adding integration user with account 'Domain\user'.', status = failed:

       Error in getting SID
The Active Directory user or group does not exist. Contact your network administrator.

Could not add AX user with user name 'Domain\user' and ID 'AXIntUsr'."

I assign same user as service account but not sure why this error pops out.

Help appreciated

    Hello Artezys,

Please verify that you have a display name setup in AD for the Service account you are using.

Go to Active Directory Users and Computers, Find service account, Double click the account, In the General tab insert Display name.

Did you make sure the service account has Administrator rights on the Management Reporter server?

As I haven't deployed management report server yet I am not sure where I can assign administrator rights

On the server you plan on installing the Management Reporter Server, Go to Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Click Local Users and Groups > Select Groups > Double Click Administrators and add the service account to this group.

Best practice is to create a security group in AD, add the service accounting needing admin rights to the security group and add the security group to the local administrators group on server. For now you can just add the service account.

Yes it has been added to local administrators group but it still fails.

Has this account been imported into AX as a user with Security Admin role and System Admin role?

Service account has a system admin role in DAX.

Also can yo please verify that this service account has appropriate rights on SQL Server Management Studio. It should have dbcreator, public & securityadmin.
