Just adding some information, starting from BC23 this has become a little more convenient.
More details: Business Central 2023 wave 2 (BC23): Add a new FieldGroup (Brick & DropDown) to an existing table

    Hope this helps as well.
    Thanks.

    Hi,

Drill down is generated from a table property call field group.

There are two Field Groups - DropDown and Brick.

Brick view is used when you choose Tile view in windows client or use Phone client.

Using an extension object- You will be able to add new fields in the DropDown or Brick Field Group with following rules -
    1. You can only add new fields in the end.
    2. You will not be able to remove fields which are already available.
How to add field in fieldgroup - Read here (Add a new FieldGroup to an existing table | Microsoft Learn)

It's not possible out of the box, but you can customize the system to do it. Yun Zhu, a forum member wrote a blog post about it - Dynamics 365 Business Central: How to Customize Drop-Down List (Field Groups) | Dynamics 365 Lab (yzhums.com)
