I have a situation where we recently upgraded to GP 2013 from GP10.  What was missed in the upgrade (and in the prior upgrade to GP10) was installing Fixed Assets and running Utiltities against that.  Apparently it had been installed before and is on Version 9, for which there is not a path to GP2013 based on the following error when I run Utilities: 

Failure encountered ON 2/3/2014 at 11:15:10 AM.  Error:  Product 309 does not support upgrading from version 9.0.114.

The customer never used Fixed Assets so there is no data to be lost, but how can I get it working in 2013?

    For AA you will want to follow the steps in the following KB:

    915903 How to remove Analytical Accounting from a computer that has Microsoft Dynamics GP installed

    mbs.microsoft.com/.../KBDisplay.aspx

    Grant Management would be the following:

    Delete DYNAMICS..DB_Upgrade where PRODID = 4421 and db_name = 'xxxx'

    Delete DYNAMICS..DU000020 where PRODID = 4421 and companyID = xx

    Delete DYNAMICS..DU000030 where PRODID = 4421 and companyID = xx

    You can find the Companyid by running the following script:

    select CMPANYID,CMPNYNAM,INTERID from Dynamics..SY01500

    Last you need to run the following drop scripts against each company you need to reinstall the module for:

    Drop Table GTM41000

    Do you also know what would need to be deleted for 3180 Analytical Accounting & 4421 Grant Management?

    Hi Liz,

    There is for each module. You would just change the module id in the scripts and the drop tables would be different.

    Delete DYNAMICS..DB_Upgrade where PRODID = 346and db_name = 'xxxx'

    Delete DYNAMICS..DU000020 where PRODID = 346 and companyID = xx

    Delete DYNAMICS..DU000030 where PRODID = 346 and companyID = xx

    You can find the Companyid by running the following script:

    select CMPANYID,CMPNYNAM,INTERID from Dynamics..SY01500

    Last you need to run the following drop scripts against each company you need to reinstall the module for:

    Thank you very much.  I completed the steps and it worked.  I realized though that I have some other sites that are on v9 of Project Accounting & Manufacturing.  Also never been used.  I'm assuming I will run into the same error if they ever try to install.  Is there a similar procedure avialble for those modules?

    These scripts will reinstall FA for all companies. This will cause all data to be lost for this module in all companies.

    Delete DYNAMICS..DB_Upgrade where PRODID = 309

    Delete DYNAMICS..DU000020 where PRODID = 309

    Delete DYNAMICS..DU000030 where PRODID = 309

    Drop table FAINST01
