RM Statements Zero Balance but still printing

Hi All

I have this issue where I am trying to restrict the printing of the RM Statement report when there is no activity and zero balance due (ie: in the Print Receivables Statements report options window I have unselected the No Activity and Zero Balance Due) but it is still printing the report with a line about the BBF which is zero as well?

I am confused and not sure where to look to see why this is not working as it should?

Kind Regards

Charles

    Hi Charles,

Thanks for the question. With the RM statement fully paid transactions, that are in an open status, will still print even though they have a $0 balance. The way the report is designed any records that are in the open table will print on the statement.

If you run paid transaction removal the fully applied documents will move to history and will no longer print using these printing options.

Please let me know if you would like any additional information on this issue.

    Regards

    Rob

    Charles,

You should look to see if you have "Current Paid-In-Full" selected.   To completely elimiate all zero balance statements, you need to NOT select:

    -Current Paid-In-Full

    -No Activity

    -Zero Balance Due

Here is a link to a previous blog posting where I review "period end procedures" for Receivables.

The actual problem was that there was still a balance on the account ie: 0.00001 so GP still picked it up as not paid.

Thanks for you help, it got me looking in the right direction.

Ah yes, this can be truly annoying.  I've included 2 mblog posings to help you here.  The first talks about the the "Write-off" feature vs. entering Credit Memos.  The second shows how to let GP help you with Write-offs, without entering them 1 at a time.
