Cannot Preview Attached Documents

I am running GP 2015 14.00.1026 and recently applied a January 2017 hotfix update to the system. After applying the update, users (including SA) cannot preview attached documents on the vendor card. We can, however, attach documents, but once attached they are locked there from deletion and viewing.

The problem also exists within the Vendor Documents (Invoices), AR cards, and AR Documents. Please see the picture of what is shown when attempting to view an attached document.

I believe the problem is a permissions issue where a permission is not being set. Though, I do not know which permission is required here.

The verified answer on that thread is about an upgrade to the latest Hotfix back in 2015. I am well past those updates and experience the same problem. I have two environments, which are the same, but one Dev and the other Prod. My dev environment works without problem, but I believe I made a permission change a while back.

Do you know which permission is based for this action?

In addition to DEFAULT USER, 'ADMIN_COMPANY_001*' security task ID will provide permission to Doc Attach feature setup window along with other company setup windows.

I've already given both of those permissions, but alas the problem remains.

    Hi

The table referenced in the duplicate key message is CO00101.

Check for a duplicate item in that table.

Take a backup of the table - then delete one of the duplicates - can you now view the attachment?

Those would be my next steps.

    Cheers

    Heather

    Hi,

As Heather mentioned check the concerned tables for any duplicates in the tables CO00101 & CO00102 referring to the table key.

    Regards

There is a blank row in both of the tables. I will be trying to delete those rows and report back.

Deleting the blank row worked. Thank you to everybody!
