Development team tells me that it is not as easy to add the field if it is not in the data model.
Is it really difficult to add a field in that specific report?
I need to add the resource name or (material description).
Also would be nice to add Expected Actual Cost.
If Development team is facing challenges, you can ask them to create a separate new report, you can take replica of current report and apply your new changes in new report.

Hi, I checked the standard code, it's really not that simple, it uses variables to get these values, and variables can't be used directly in Report Extension.

I think the challenge here is that every job task can have several job planning lines. And those job planning lines can involve several resources or items.
So it would probably be easier to create a completely new report to fill your requirement.
