I want to export and import the same solution with a different name? So in the end I want to keep the original entity and also create a fresh new entity with the same features but modified names.

I have a working solution for one of our current clients. Same fields, forms, views, Business processes, workflows are also required by a new client. I don't want to create a new entity from scratch and just want to basically copy and reuse the existing entity.

I have never done it, but my guess is you double clic your solution, go to Information and change your publisher to a new one. then you export and import

@anonsgate but that wouldn't copy all the entities (forms, views, processes etc) from solution1 to solution2. I found a tool on XRM ToolBox called Solution Components Mover that can move entities and other components from one solution to another. Has anyone ever used this?

Yes, I've successfully used XrmToolBox – Solution Component Mover.

I created a new solution and then used XrmToolBox – Solution Component Mover to copy all the components from the original solution.

Bear in mind that a solution doesn't hold any objects, just pointers to objects. So if you carried out the above procedure, changing an object in 1 solution would still affect the other solution as you're modifying the base object.
