Tender transaction using only touchscree monitor NOT the Keyboard & Mouse

How can I tender the transaction using only touchscreen monitor without keyboard and mouse connected to PC? I tried by activating the "touchscreen" from SO Manager by assigning the sample keyboard created, and also activated the "touchscreen" option from the "screen" button. When I tried to tender the transaction, as soon as tender window appears, the touchscreen keyboard disappears. There is no way to enter the tender amount. Please help at your earliest convenience. I am using the RMS 2.0 w/ CU5 on Windows 8.1 Pro.

I was just going off of the Microsoft Docs -

Operating systems (32-bit or 64-bit, unless otherwise noted)

     Windows® 8 (Professional Edition or higher)

    Note

Windows® 8 had not been officially released by the time Feature Pack 2 was released. Therefore, it is not an officially supported operating system. However, preliminary compatibility testing has been completed on the pre-releases and no issues were found with using Feature Pack 2 with Windows 8.

    Pappu,

Thank you for your post and updates.

As Adam mentioned the Taskpads are the best route for using a touchscreen.

The only correction would be that Windows 8 is supported only using Feature Pack 2 or later with RMS.

    Thanks,

    Nicole

Your best bet would be to start using the taskpads as they are leaps and bounds better than the older touchscreen interface.

Gotcha, I am guessing that your touchscreen keyboard is overlapping the main display. I would go into your display properties while in pos (ctrl+f6) and then click the 'window' button. Change the value in the height field to something smaller than what it currently is. Play around with this until you get it to look right and then attempt another transaction.

    Adam,

I am using Windows 8.1 Pro and uses the the classic touchscreen. If you could provide me info on how it works on Windows 7, it would be helpful too. Thanks.

Windows 8 is not officially supported by Microsoft however I have seen it work fairly well, but only on the most current version. What version are you on? (manager or administrator help>about)

Are you using the classic touchscreen or the new taskpads?
