Retail Destination Based Tax

Hi Ramune,

Thank you for these inputs and the Word Document it is really helpful.

I need inputs on the following.

Retail Destination Based Tax. I have added 2 countries to one of the Sales Tax group. I want to add the same countries for example Australia and New Zealand to another Sales tax group but the system is not allowing to do so and throwing an error as below. Please advise.

    If it's the case that it only allows a Country/region code to reside within one Tax group (when using the Retail destination based tax) configuration, then perhaps you need to configure your Tax groups differently to support this.

    Hi Revathy,

    the intended design is to allow only One Sales tax group for One Country. This is because the system is looking for a destination address country and choose sales tax group automatically to be assigned. If you need the same Sales tax group for the same country, maybe you can divide per City or Postal code?

    We would need to know scenario why you need such setting and what are you trying to achieve to be able suggest more. Maybe you do not need to use Destination based sales tax, but you need sales tax group to be taken from a customer account or delivery address itself (set up on a customer account).
