New fields not showing in form

Hi everyone,

I've added fields in my Sales Table extensions. Then add it in an existing Field Group which is also custom.

As far as I know, the form related to it, in this case Sales Table form (which is also extension), if the field group already exists, then by adding new fields, it will automatically added and shows in the form, right ?

Which actually, yes, if I open the form in form Designer, I can see my newly added field in that form because I put the field group name.

However, after Build, even Full Build, these fields never shows up in browser.

Anyone know what should I do ?

I have reset Usage Data relates to this form, even tried to reset IIS to no avail.

Hi VolesDev,

Seems like you have done everything correct, one this which is not there is Db Sync. Have you done that?

Few other things, check if the visible property on the new field is set to Yes. Check You have added any country Region codes on the field.

Hi vinit,

Yes, Full Build included Synchronise. Visible and Country Region left unchanged (default), meaning Visible = Yes, Country Region, empty.

how many fields did you add? Do you see any of the fields? Can you add some screenshots? I am not finding any steps missing!!

Hi Vinit,

Eventually my patience is run out. So I delete again the group control in form design, and drag again from its data source:SalesTable - designated Field group

This is the screen shot of my Form Design of SalesTable (extension)

Basically those highlighted is the new fields (2 fields) I added before, whilst the other is already existed before and already in that existing / same field group. And as mentioned, actually I already see those 2 new fields as well before I decided to delete and add again the whole group.

Still If I can understand why and know the reason, will be much help.

Do you have caption set for your group ? I don't see anything wrong in your steps. I did the same thing, quickly added group set the datasource ,datagroup and caption properties for the group and did a build and new group is visible on the form. Can you share properties for your group?

Hi,

If i understand correctly the issue appears when you add new fields to existing field group and it's not refreshed automatically on forms like in previous AX version, so you need to restore or recreate group manually on the form.

From his screenshot looks like he added a new group control and assigned his field group to that control.

Hi guys,

Sorry, it was past midnight when i left. So here is the complete story.

1. I already have SalesTable extension with custom fields (those not highlighted) with custom Fieldgroup

2. Form SalesTable extension also working fine with those custom fields showing. A group control set over there with its property Datagroup filled in.

3. Yesterday, I added 2 more fields and put those fields in the existing Fieldgroup.

4. In my mind, it should be added automatically in form, after Build+sync.

5. In Form designer, I saw it already, but in browser no.

6. Tried Full build with sync, still no

7. Reset usage data related to SalesTable form, still no

8. Doing another Full build, then IISRESET, still no.

This is where I stop trying, since already taking too long for quite easy task. In Form designer, I deleted the group control and drag again from Formdatasource:SalesTable, dragging the said fieldgroup.

It appeared after this re-add, and Build.

Btw, no caption in form-control group. It will take label from Sales table field group.
