Hi, so i just deleted a record from vendorpackingsliptrans table because a user mistakenly input the wrong received qty, and now i've mistakenly deleted the record in vendorpackingsliptrans, now i was thinking the remaining qty should go back the way it was, but it was not.

is there a way to restore a record to the table?

    Hi Adrian1234,
The only way to restore it is to use database backup, if you have one. And never delete records from SQL or AOT, you should always fix data through AX UI and use functions like credit or return.

    Hi Adrian,

If database logging was enabled, it would be possible to re-insert a record, but as there might be more tables involved with all kind of references it is not best practice here.

If you have a backup of the database, an SQL administrator would be able to re-insert the record and possibly related records. Note that you have to test it in a separate environment first.

Or you can use the backup to do a full point in time restore. It all depends on when it happened and what was entered/posted in the meantime

    This is forbidden action.

If you have backup as Experts said, try to restore this record in test environment first

If not you must back to the last backup and re enter all data again.

    Hi Adrian,

Yes, there is way to restore the deleted record. You can undo the changes and restore deleted records to its last known state with the help of our productivity app – Click2Undo.

    Thanks!

Click2Undo is not suitable for Dynamics AX 2012 as far as I know...
