Hello everyone,

We would like to exclude the amounts of a range of accounts starting with one specific segment only for a specific date on trial balance.

Does anyone have an idea how to achieve this in report writer.

It could absolutely be accomplished through report writer, although, you could simply follow the steps below;

Inactive the range of accounts that are required to be excluded from the Trial Balance

When printing the Trial Balance report, un-check the "inactive account" option in order not to include the inactive accounts in your report

Once completed, check the set of accounts again if you want them to be in operation again

You could also create a Trial Balance in FRx or Management Reporter (see the User's Guide for instructions) and exclude the accounts there. Plus, you then have a trial balance that is easily exportable to Excel.

These accounts are not inactive we just want to exclude their amount for one day or a specific date.

Regardless of whether they are inactive or not. I meant you could "inactivate" them and print your trial balance to have them excluded.

Later on, activate them to have them included again in the trial balance, that would be the shortest way to get it done.
