Extracting Journal Entries from SL for a GP Interface

We are a company that runs Microsoft Dynamics GP and have acquired a company that runs Microsoft Dynamics SL.  We generally create a Nightly GL Interface into our GP using eConnect.  We've done it with other version of GP, with JDEdwards, with PeopleSoft, but this is the first one for SL.  I've actually never seen it before.

Couple questions for you experts.

Is SL exclusively on SQL Server?

We have a GL Account String like 123-12345-1234-1234.  Do you all have individual segments that make combinations or do you string them all like this.  I am thinking about mapping from SL account to GP account number

Can anyone help me with a table name(s)?  Looking to get Journal Entry detail.  The basics like JE Number, Description, Date, account, Debit, Credit, etc....

Do you tend to have user defined or extra fields in the GL so that we can flag entries as "interfaced," a date, or maybe write back GP's JE Number to a field?

Is SL exclusively on SQL Server? - Yes

SL uses Accts and SubAccts; together (concatenated), they are similar to the GL Acct string that GP employs.

GLTran is the GL Transaction table; Account is the GL Account Master table; SubAcct is the GL SubAccount Master table; Batch is the Batch Master table.

There are 8 User fields in the GLTran table (User1 thru User8) of various data types that can be used; you can review the types in SQL.
