Serial number on PO

Hi All,

 

We have created serialized product and we want to capture the product serial number on POS while scanning for items. However, we are not getting any dialog box asking to enter the serial number. In screenshot I have tried both the setup. Is there any additional setup needed to be done?

    Hi Rutvik,

    You can check on below points

    - On serial item tracking dimensions screen(same in your screen capture) check if your item is available in "Related items" menu. If not you need to assign respective tracking dimensions product.

    - I hope you have sync the data to channel properly. To confirm, if you have access to channel database check if the product available in [crt].SERIALIZEDITEMSVIEW.

    - If you don't have database access use fiddler to check highlighted property marked as true as below

    After all above check point, still if you are unable to get the pop up to enter serial number, I will suggest to compare your product configurations with 82000 product in usrt data.

    Hi Ram,

    Thanks a lot for replying. The setup is ok. But in fiddler log , HasSerialNumber is set to False. Can we fix it?

    Hi Rutvik,

    There can be multiple reasons as your 'serial number' configuration data is not available into channel database.

    - I will suggest to check your configurations again and compare with usrt company configurations

    - Verify that you have applied 'Full Sync'.

    Hi Ram,

    I also believe that we have missed something. But I am not sure what. We have compared demo data and everything seems to be similar. Full sync has been done many times. I have already referred to that document. It says

    Can I register serial numbers at the retail POS?

    Yes, the retail point of sale (POS) will prompt the user to enter a serial number when the user sells an item that is assigned a tracking dimension group that is set up to use serial numbers only during the sales process.

    I have followed what they are saying here.

    I suggest to raise case with MS support to investigate further and take a look at all the configuration settings.

    Hi Ram,

    The issue was with the tracking dimension group missing in scheduler subjobs. We ran retail schedular and manually added the trackingdimensiongroup in subjobs. Now its working.
