EFT/ACHA - Data Exchange - Block Count

Posted on by 20

I am running into an with the US EFT CCD data exchange definition.  The Bank requires the Block Count to be total lines / 10, rounded up. is there a way to change this in the Block Count?

    Hello,

Thank you for posting and thank you Steve for the heads-up on this posting.

There is a code correction released in the May 2018 Cumulative Update related to what appears to be this issue. Please find ID 264111 in Cumulative Update 5 for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018.

Cumulative Update 05 for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018 (Build 21836)

    Thank you.

    Best Regards,
    Tom

Nice catch. I will email someone in Microsoft about this.

    Thanks,

I have applied a correction to Codeunit 10094 regarding the footer block count. The number of records exporting was never getting tallied, so it will always export one.

    Paul,

I tested in Cronus an EFT file with over 9 entries, which will pass 10. My test created the same results not updating the Block Count based on the rule. This calculation is done within the Data Exchange Codeunit. I would now say we need your Partners Programmer to drill into Codeunit (3 pic below). Please ask for there assistance to derive the formula being used.

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Hi Steve-

Thank you for the quick reply.

You are correct in identifying the field in quesiton.  Let me rephase the issues.

The NACHA File for specifies states the Block Count should be the total number of records in the ACH file, round up to the nearest 10 and then divide by 10.  See example.

However, when i ran my export it looks like it rounded down.  There were 18 detail records, rounded up, would be 20, divide by 10 would be 2.  The block count should yield '000002', however in the extract it output '000001'.

The ACH upload failed.  How do i get the Block Count to calculate correctly?

    Thanks in advance.

    Paul

    Paul,

Here are some screen shots. My Block Count is in Footer B:

The pic above that begins with 9 is the batch Count and Block Count, each being 1, 6 digits.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Steve
