As a follow up to my recently asked question about adding Birth Month to our Customer's data, is there a way to generate a single use coupon code. What we are looking to do is send an e-mail out on the 15th prior to a given month so the people who have birthdays in that month will receive a coupon, such as 10% off any purchase of $25 or more. We currently use Madmimi.com as our newsletter service, and thought we would simply have 12 different e-mail lists (one per month) and e-mail the Birthday Coupon out on the 15th of the prior month. However, we want it to NOT be valid multiple times. How do we do this in such a way that the coupon is usable only once in that month. Or, is there an add-on app/program to RMS that will provide this service for us?

Hi again Rob.
As a standard RMS functionality, there is no such a thing as you want. So, there are two options, to develop it or look for an existing add-on. I'm not sure if there is an add-on for this in RMS world, maybe if You try Retail Hero (they had some good loyalty add-ons for RMS)... For the first option, developing it for You, talk to your RMS Partner, they should be able to develop it for You.
I have done something similar for Marks & Spencer, but based on periodical discounts on specific items (clearance), so it's "doable"...
