Import new customers

Hi, 

I am trying to import customers to D365 F&O, but I am receiving the error "Cannot create a record in The customer accounts that are associated with warehouse management transactions (WHSCustTable). Customer account: 080121, No.
The record already exists."

I am entering the customer account manually and it is matching the Next value in the customer sequence. I have also tried entering numbers higher than the Next value of the number sequence and still receiving the same error.

Kindly find attached the number sequence setup, along with the customer import sample and the global address book sample

    I have same message in the customer account. Can you tell me what your concern was about custom fields ? I only customisation wiews ... Thanks you

    Thanks as you have mentioned, it was related to the customization fields. I had to remove them and then it worked perfectly.

    Hi Hossam,

    I made an attempt to import the customers and succeeded after creating a new customer group 'EXT'. Initially, there were a lot of fields unmapped, so I guess these are related to some new features and customizations. Do you have extended this data entity with a customization? Can you also check if the WHSCustTable has new indexes which are set to not allow duplicates? By default this table has only one index on the customer account field.

    I have tried again with fresh entries for Global address book and customer. But still the same error persists. I am wondering if you can try the same files from your end.

    Hi Andre,

    Thanks, you are making me think in a different direction. As you said, when I first got the error I tried to reimport the file using a different customer account number. It seems like some of the information went in the first time to the warehouse entite. I will create fresh entries for Global Address Book and start again.

    Did you also import the customers before? If so, did you delete the customers or try to re-import the same file?

    Hi Frank,

    Address ID and Party ID exist only in the Global address book entity. I have imported the values sucessfully eariler. Then I am using those values to import my customer data and link the global address book

    Have you verified that the Address ID and Party ID don't already exist?  That could be what the error message is referring to.
