Microsoft Dynamics AX Warehouse Management System

I am looking for PDA devices (Honeywell or Motorola) for inventory purpose:
- Stock counting.
- Stock transfers & receiving.
- Reports of the above to be integrated with MS Dynamics AX.                        

So, I just heard from the Company implementing the Dynamics for us that the Microsoft Dynamics AX Warehouse Management System does not provide functionality for Retail shops                        
I need to make sure its true or what?

    They don't recommend to use the built-in tool of AX (Microsoft Dynamics AX Warehouse Management System)... because it is still primitive and it is meant only for main stores and logistics. It does not provide functionality for Retail shops.

    is that true ??

    Hi,

    It depends on your expectations your user's skills. I find the structure (tables module functionalities) of this module well-designed, but at first, the mobile device portal needs development to be easier to use.

    We use Honeywell and M3 devices, I have never used a Motorola device but, probably you will need to do changes in CSS file and javascript for mobile device portal regardless which device you choose. If you will purchase new devices to use for WHS, it will be a good idea to check the scripts and designes you may use, and see if  your mobile devices' browser and software versions will or not support it.

    Yes, your partner is correct in retail HHD does not support ,its supports only warehouse management
