    Hi,

You don't need to specifically remove all the access but you can simply use single privilege and use it to hide sub area. Did you check the blog link that I share with you. Make sure you are following steps clearly.

Thanks for this Goutam. I have tried this but am having issues removing accounts and contacts from the marketing tile. So the security role needs to have access to accounts and contacts but i have created an entity called sitemap privileges and gave the role no access or privileges. I then navigated to sitemap editor, gone to the sub-area accounts and contacts, set a privilege all to entity Sitemap Privilege. It still comes up. It looks like as long as you have read prv to the entity, it gives you access.

All i want is one tile not to confuse the users. Am i doing something wrong?

    Hi Mahender,

Thanks for this. I tried it again and am having issues to make a sub area "disappear". So if i remove all access to an entity and in the sitemap designer set a privilege that a user needs to have all access, that removes the sub-area. But if i set a privilege that only a user who can create a record in the entity can see the sub- area (and the user has the security role to match, ie does not have create privilege), I can still see the sub-area.

    What am i missing?

    Hi,

If there is no sub area visible to the user, area will be automatically hidden, so if you will put privilege into all subarea, it will hide area as well.

    Hi Jawetha,

You can do this using XrmToolBox Sitemap editor . Here is the steps .

    1. Create Dummy entity to control user security role privilege. Let say you have given READ privilege for that entity , which means if any roles having Read privilege then Marketing Navigation will show .

    2. Login to XRMToolBox sitemap editor , create new privilege under Marketing Navigation . Put entity name and give the READ access. By doing this user who have the read privilege of the dummy entity can see the Marketing other user cant see the marketing module.

This is the way you can control main area.

    Hi Mahender,

Thanks for this but the blog is talking about privileges for a sub-are and not area. I want only the Service tile showing and all other workspaces removed (ie marketing, sales etc). I have tried removing all priviledges in the security role but the tile is still showing.

    Thanks!

    Hi Jawetha,

You can control this using the Privileges option, Check this blog for your reference:[View:https://www.inogic.com/blog/2018/08/sitemap-privileges-feature-in-dynamics-365/:320:50]
