Restrict views in grid as you can restrict in subgrid

Hi,

I would like to know if is CRM supported to restrict or to not show at all the dropdown with views to select in a normal entitylist view (grid view).
E.g. I have account entity with 4 system views: Active Accounts, Inactive Accounts, My Accounts and VIP Accounts.
I would like to have in sitemap a link to only VIP Accounts view and when accessed, to not see at the top of the grid the list with all system views (that includes all 4 views).

Any customization/code solution is good.
Thank you.

Yes, I have a uci app. What doesn’t seem possible is to customize the grid control, when you have a link in sitemap to an entitylist of some particular entity (to decide what system view to have, as you have the option in subgrid).

My question still stands, small chances that this is supported.

Are you referring to PowerApps Filter function? Haven't worked much with PowerApp, but doesn't this solution mean I have to embed a PowerApp app to my CRM app? Or If I got it wrong how I can have the restricted views in my CRM app sitemap like it would be from CRM? Maybe code solution would be available? This is not one org thing, have to export managed solution also install it in many other environments.

So seems like the scenario explained by me above in the initial question is not yet considered by CRM core?

You can restrict views by creating Power apps.

Just like sales Hub, You can edit it and restrict views limit.

    To Create/Update Apps:

    GoTo-->Dynamics 365-->Application-->My Apps.

What I basically wanna do is to separate the views of some entity in two, and show in sitemap as two different "entities" (but still have the data in one entity). Two links in sitemap, each with disjunctive views. Link 1 (called Accounts) in sitemap will show Active Accounts, Inactive Accounts, My Accounts views and the second link (called VIP) will show only VIP Accounts view.

Naming given is just a dummy example, hope it makes sense.

Yes, Sreevalli, the suggestion with having the link in sitemap pointing to a specific view I know it, but the user still can access all list of views if he wants.

    Hi,

On what basis you would like to change these views, In addition to Goutam's suggestion around security profiles, you can also select the default view from the list, as it should be landing point when you navigate from sitemap. Also you can pin a view which you would like to see eveytime, as a personal preference.

    Thank you for your response.

The supported ways mentioned are not solving my business need. The all views should be used, but in different part of the sitemap, the data has to be in one single place, so having different entity is not an option, also restricting by BU, Security roles, or the data view (by filters) have nothing to do with my need.

    Hi ,

There is no supported way to hide view from the entity grid view . The supported way is to deactivate the view or restrict data with BU ,Field Security Profile , retrieve multiple plugin and view filter condition.
