Prevent Part from Getting Refresh in Planning Worksheet

Hi

Let say we have the two following planning work sheet batch

Batch 1

Batch 2

Then we run the batch 1 and we make some changes to some suggestions in batch 1. Now if we run batch 2 with the same settings of batch 1 all parts remove from batch 1 and add to batch 2 with the old suggestions. I think this by design in BC to prevent confusion. But sometimes we like to keep some parts in planning worksheet for further evaluation.

Is it anyway in BC that user can lock one line in planning worksheet in order to not be refresh or remove when another batch with same settings prepared?

Thanks

I don't think this is possible, at least from my experience. The Planning Worksheets simulate all of the inputs/outputs to the inventory, calculating them through the various levels of the BOM on the production side. Changing the Planning Flexibility of a line in the Planning Worksheets would get overwritten, because those lines have never been actioned; they're more of a temporary placement until action is taken.

If this was from the Production Order side of things, and you actioned those production orders into a Planned status, NAV would still want to possibly adjust those Planned Prod Orders if you re-ran the plan again. At that point, you could lock down those orders with a Planning Flexibility of None to prevent them from being changed within the new Plan.
