I am looking for a add on for Microsoft RMS POS that will force the cashier to ask for the customers zipcode at t he time of sale. I then want to be able to track it in my HQ database seperated by location.

    Two things you can do immediately: 1) In Manager, go to File | Configuration | Options | Customer Options and select "Require customer selection for sales". 2) Create a custom HTML status bar to read "Zip codes are required for each sale".  Then run a report to see which cashiers are not entering a zip code and read him/her the riot act.

    Ok if I do that will there be a report in HQ that I can run and see the zip codes the tranasction are coming from?

    Hi Matt,

    We have done something similar for some of our clients before, it's called the RITE Demographics Tool. I am not 100% sure of its HQ ready but if you are interested somebody in our sales team would be happy to help you.

    The report which you made the SO level can also be published or copied to HQ with some changes, as most of data structure of tables is same.

    Local customer purchases are not uploaded to HQ.  You can only see purchases from Global customers.
