Migrating customization over VBA (package) from GP2010 to GP2015

Hello

I got an issue when i tried to import customization over VBA (package) in GP2015, I made a development over VBA (new forms, new tables, modifying existing forms, etc) in GP2010, now i have to upgrade GP to 2015r2. So when I created package file from GP2010 and then try to import in gp2015r2 it displays an message error.

"missing file Dynamics.vba "

So I copy this file from gp2010 folder, but I'm not sure if this is correct, any advice or recommendations?

In other words:  a VBA customization can migrate with upgrade process? what should i concern or check previously?

Thanks

Steve T

    Steve,

There are times when you cannot simply import the old package file into a new version. We had trouble a few versions ago - I think it may have been coming up to 2013 or 2015, it's in my book in the upgrade section. I don't have the book available right now, but the issue didn't have to do with the window itself, it was the VBA code and references attached to it. You mentioned 'new tables', how did you create these tables? Ordinarily the system will create a new .vba file if none exist. Did you go through the GP Utility to update modified Forms and Reports or did you just try and import the package files?

Did you change your hardware as part of this upgrade? If yes, did you change from a 32 to a 64 bit machine? Did you change your operating system?

Thanks Leslie, so is not frequently that importing package (.vba) from GP2010 to newers versions display errors. I check if missed something.
