Hello Experts

Our business want to convert our existing Description fields(Multiple line of text) to Rich Text fields. I googled through some process that makes it possible, but couldn't find any legit one so far. Couple of process I tried didn't work. I'm working on Dynamics 365 online version. Also we got some process around multiple description boxes where it concatenate the text and displays in other text field. Is it possible if I convert the fields to rich text?

    If you have portals installed in your CRM instance, you can probably use the web resource that is included with adx. Control name is adx_ckeditor/adx.ckeditor.html

    In the Custom Parameters of the web resource you have to pass the name of the field that this replaces:

    field=adx_copy

    Hope this helps.

    This was useful but, the field value is being stored as HTML. The editor won't display data for migrated field data.

    Hi @Aric. We have tried the approach you have mentioned above. We are successful in rendering the html content in CKEditor. But we are facing another issue. We are fetching and downloading this rich text (form field) content as part of document template and viewing it in MS Word. We are actually seeing the tags, unlike the styles getting rendered. We have tried openxml libraries as well to convert the html to docx file before saving and viewing it in MSWord. But we were not successful in getting the styles rendered. Is there any solution you have come across to get such issues fixed. Thanks :)

    This is now supported: out of the box through Controls: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGg5qAHq6p4
