Why is the "Share" option not visible on the Opportunity form?

(1) ShareShare

The "Share" option is visible on Account and Contact (and possibly lots of other entities but for me now it's only relevant with these three).

It is not however visible on Opportunity. We have made no customizations to the ribbon and I'm sysadmin.

On the other hand, when I look at any "Opportunity grid" and select an opportunity record the "Share" button becomes visible...

So, why isn't the button visible on the Opportunity Form? Any and all ideas are appreciated.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Basically, the share button is also visible on the opportunity form. Could you please check in the (more commands) section ?

If the button is not visible. We can find out the cause with the Command checker : https://d365demystified.com/2020/04/14/debug-ribbon-button-customization-using-command-checker-in-dynamics-365-ce-unified-interface/

    Hi,

It should be visible out-of-the-box. If this is not the scenario and you would like to move the "Share" option to the mainstream or hide buttons that are not needed; use the "Ribbon Workbench" tool (link provided below).

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks guys,

I've looked at the command checker in combination with the ribbon workbench (RW). What I can't make sense of is that I cannot see that the ribbon corresponds with what the command checker (CC) shows. I see the button for sharing in the RW but I can't see it in the CC. See pictures attached.

Am I just misinterpreting what I see maybe?

However, as a pretty functional solution, I could just "pull out" the share button from it's subsection and just like that it became visible.

    Hi,

This is the output of my command checker:

It seems that this is a bug, I recommend to contact the support.
