Is there a field on sales order header for Port of Discharge (POD)?

NO but you can easily add that field to the table.
Its not there by default but you can add

I think it is not there but you can easily add that if it is just for information but if any processing need to done with this field then you need to take help of developer
There is no specific field for POD, you can:
- Utilize one of existing for that purpose. There is e.g. Entry/Exit Point Table (Specifies the codes for the location to which items from abroad are shipped or from which you ship items abroad. For example Copenhagen Airport. The information is used when reporting to Intrastat.) There is a corresponding field in the Sales Header. Refer more here: msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh171405(v=nav.90).aspx
- or, add a new one as other members suggested.
