Project>Timesheet Setup change to reporting period

We are on GP2010 and use PDK and Business Portal to input and process timesheets. Our current Timesheet Reporting Period is Bi-Weekly with the pay period starting on Monday. We are wanting to change it to Bi-Weekly with the pay period starting on Saturday.  Has anyone done this sort of change on the Project Timesheet Setup screen?  The field is not greyed out, so I am guessing it can be changed.  Any wisdom anyone can share about making such a change would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Brenda

    Hi Brenda,

Yes, you can change your First Day of Reporting Period in Timesheet Setup, however I would not advise doing it unless all of your outstanding timesheets have been approved and processed over to GP.  If they have then you should be okay to make the change so that new timesheets will use the new configuration.

    How is this accomplished?

Timesheet Setup is in MDGP | Tools  | Setup | Project | Timesheet Entry. The "First Day of Reporting Period" field is editable. Once you change the date to a day that is a Saturday, then the period configuration in BP and PDK will start with Saturday.

    Hi Brenda,

I know this thread is pretty old, but could you please confirm that this worked for you and if so mark the question as answered.. this way other users could benefit from the answer.

    Thank you.
