Deployment of AX2012 R3 CU12 Demo Environment from LCS only has 20 days left for Windows Server 2012 Licence

Hi,

I deployed a new AX2012 R3 CU12 demo environment to Azure today via the LCS portal but the demo server image deployed only has 20 days left for the Windows Server 2012 license and it can't be extended via "slmgr -rearm" because the "Remaining Windows rearm count" is zero.

Anyone know how to get this resolved?

    Windows rearming works 3 x 180 days. If those have been used up, you need to use your own license. Most partners are on a volume license and is not a problem for them to throw one at it.

    Thanks Vilmos, I understand rearming is 3 X 180 days. Problem is that I have only just deployed the current CU12 demo image and the initial build only has 20 days left with zero rearms. I expect in 20 days time the CU12 demo image available via LCS will become totally unusable.

    If that is what the popup says, I am afraid it is likely as I said above - you need to punch in your own license code to keep it using, until MS provides a new image (if they do).

    Since AX 2012 is no longer sold, it might be the case that they will not renew the VM unless they would like to release another demo environment with a later cumulative update. CU13 is already out, so maybe a new one will come eventually?
