HI,

Has anyone got this error, where tyring to setup the cloud migration?

Error message:

Failed to prepare the systems for replication.

The call to prepare servers failed. Run id='', ErrorMessage='Operation on target NotifyBusinessCentral failed: {/StatusCode/:/NotFound/,/StatusMessage/:/Non-tenant specific requests should have an environment type specified./}'

It looks like the database cannot be accessed, or there is a problem with the database. Hope the following can give you some hints.

thank you Zhu, I have checked all the settings already on that page and it definetely not to do with the database.

i did do another cloud migration on Saturday on a diffrent db and that worked.

Same db that worked on Saturday, just retried it and it doesnt work with same error.

So its probably a bug in the runtime or in the BC cloud migration setup.

Got confirmation from MS that is to do with the BC24 version being postponed and this is affecting the cloud migration too.

Nothing yet, they have said the hotfix is on way, but it will probably be released at same time with the BC24 release.

Meanwhile...

If you have a production/sandbox enviroment that is still on version 23... you can take a copy of that, and use that for migration.

It worked for me anyway :)

Its a known issue and MS is working on fix

Cloud Migration setup fails with "Non-tenant specific requests should have an environment type specified" - [Update 24.x] | Power Platform admin center (microsoft.com)
