OData Connection Issues

Hello:

We installed and configured OData in a test environment for GP 2016 R2.

Afterward, in Excel, we went to Data...From Other Sources and entered the URL for pulling in the OData feed.

Unfortunately, we got the following error message:

OData: Request Failed: The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.

Does anyone know how to get past this error?  (We never got prompted for any credentials, by the way.)

Incidentally, although the OData service is started, we do not see any of the new GP Security Roles that begin with the phrase "OD_".  Why is that?

    Typically, when I've seen this issue, 9 out of 10 times it has to do with an invalid certificate. Resolve the certificate problem first, then we can focus on any additional error.

    This will obviously require a reinstallatuon of the OData/GP "connection".  Correct?
