Users of Dynamics 365 BC (why may have come from GP)

How do you use/create subledger reports, journal entry reports, etc?  We are finding that the templates in BC aren't very "presentable/easy to read."

Hi, I think what you are looking for is the Account Schedule feature.

PS: BC doesn't have SmartList function in GP yet, it requires a developer to create a Query object to do something similar.

    Hope this info will help.

    Thanks.

    Hi

As Kim and Josh mentioned if you point out to exact report in GP maybe community team can provide more info, Also Gavin Whittaker  has experience with both GP and BC and I hope he can provide some info (maybe check his blog as well https://thedynamicsexplorer.com/)

Josh provided other report possibility as well. One newer option is Solver. You can look into it as well

If you can’t find what you need in the standard reports there are other options. Jet Reports is far easier with BC than GP, I’ve been told. You can also consider Power BI. For gl and gl budgets please consider BC account schedules

BC has always been stronger on the screen than one the printed report but there are hundreds of reports. Do you have anything particular in mind that you are trying to find?

Are they just using subpar reports because BC has more advantages than GP?
