NO SUPPORT to hack FDB native database recovery through CDART

Posted on by

Navision Financials Native Database (aka Native Database or FDB) has been retired, together with Classic Client, with Dynamics NAV 2009 R2.

Dynamics NAV 2009 R2 is out of support since January 2020. All other previous major versions are fully out of Microsoft support too.

Due to GDPR and major security restrictions all over the world related to data handling, since several years now, Microsoft ranked internal CDART for native database recovery as hacking tool that might potentially open to security issues or leak.

Despite CDART native database recovery attempt might have been request in the past for supported versions throughout accounted partners, this is no longer possible nor admitted internally.

Microsoft has always been strongly and warmly recommended partner and customer to implement a robust backup policy. This would ensure business continuity and steady / fast disaster recovery.

A robust backup policy not only implies the creation of backups with short point in time but also testing the integrity of the backup files produced.

It is a pity that Microsoft has stopped supporting this application. I found it very useful.

Do I understand correctly that you want to find a hacker to restore your account to which you currently do not have access? If this is the case, then I would not advise you to do this, since Microsoft's security system is very good, especially they do not like hackers and can ban you if they find out what you wanted to do or will do. It is best to write to the official support email with your question, or find a person who works at microsoft and ask him to help you. It's hurtful to lose accounts that are very dear to you, I know this by myself. So I wish you good luck and hope you'll get your account back!
