Existing data projects - Entity List Refresh

Hello everyone,
 
We have new fields added to the data entity. I was wondering the schema mapping will be automatically updated after the entity refresh, or for the existing data project (export, import), we need to manually configure the mapping in the data projects.

    Hi LB developer,

    If you refresh the entity list, i would say the mapping of the entity gets refreshed by itself. You could go to the entity and check if the new fields started appearing or not. However, for the import/ export project, it won't be updated automatically, what i normally do, is delete the entity from the project and add it again

    If you don't want to click refresh entity list when adding new fields, you could simply generate the mapping of the entity by going to: System Administration - Data management - Data entities tile - modify target mappings - generate mappings - save
    but you would still need to update the existing export/import projects

    Hi,
    To export data, you need to perform an entity refresh and then create a new DMF job. If you have an existing DMF export job, it’s recommended to remove the entity and add it again to ensure it is updated with the new fields.
