Hi All,
I want to work with importing bulk data in d365 f&o environment from third party through integration.
So as there are many ways to do it like power automate, OData, etc. My client wants to work with the best way out of all these while importing bulk data file.
Please guide me which approach is best suitable for this scenario.

Hi Martin. Thanks for your reply.
It means data management API (REST API) is a quite good way to import bulk data from excel file to D365 FO.
As I'm new to integration and looking for some basics of all these to know the best way for importing. So if you have some more links for Data management API, so it will be helpful for me to understand it more better.
There is no single that that is the best in all possible scenarios. What is the best for you depends on your particular requirements.
Anyway, note that OData services (based on data entities) don't meet your requiremens, because they don't accepts a file at all. You need a data management API instead.
Power Automate allows you to set up a workflow, so you don't have write a custom application. But it can't import anything by itself - it depends on web services offered by F&O. Therefore the most important thing is what you want to do and which API you'll use for it. How you'll call the API is secondary. You might use Power Automate, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Recurring Integrations Scheduler, your custom application.... and all can do the same thing for you. The key is what steps you want them to perform.
