CRMAsyncService running in a different server

Hi there, I've just started working with a client that has a Dynamic CRM 4.0 IFD installation. They have the following configuration: Server A: Window 2003 SP2 with CRM 4.0 UR 10 Server B: Window 2003 SP2 with SQL 2008 SP1 Standard Server C: Window 2003 SP2 with CRM 4.0 UR 10 (similar configuration as on server A) At the moment the CRM Async Service is running on server A. What I'm trying to do is to set up the CRM Async Service to run on server C to balance the load between server A and C. I've tried stopping the CRM Async Service on server A and starting the CRM Async Service on server C but workflows would not run, so it looks like the Async Service on server C wasn't set up correctly. My question is: How can I check if the Async Service on Server C is pointing to the right CRM configuration on server A? I couldn't find any info available on internet about this. Thanks in advance Juan

    Juan,

The Async Service looks on the Registry for the location of the Database that it needs to connect to. If the installation of server C was done properly; both server A and C should have the same information on the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSCRM hives.

My experience tells me that you should focus your attention on the execution account running the Async Service on Server C...Make sure that the account running both this service in both servers are the same.

Also; what error messages do you see on the Event Viewer?

    Good Luck!
