For the CEIP you have click on the hyper link and then click No that you do not wish to participate.
That's what I thought. But The "CEIP" was a bit more of a pain to get rid of.

After you left click on the task you change the status from Pending to Completed and click Save. Then ALT-F5 will refresh the home page or you can exit GP and come back in.
