Dear All,
What is the definition of archived date?
Using the example below, this PO was archived in 2 date, 15 and 22 April. but the posting date is in March
When does the system archive the document?
Happy New Year,
To add content to Bilal's reply, below is a link to the Archive Document help section within BC. This should help you further understand the Archive process for SO and PO and its setup.

Thank you,

Post action will cause the SO/PO to be archived but it has pre-req that you have enable archiving in the Sales and Receivables setup or Purchases and Payables setup.
Hi,
I will try to explain to you with an example.
Sales/Purchase Order is created on 1st March with posting date 23 March 2020. And it is actually posted on Work date 4th April so now the Archived date will be 4th April. So it is actually the Work Date on which the order is posted.
HI,
What action will cause the SO to be archived (saved to the table)?
Posting date is not involved. Archived date is certainly the date it was added to the table
