Create a Zip Code Field

Hi everyone,

I am trying to make severals fields to make an adress field. I didn't manage to find how to use (nor create) the composite field you can see on system entites, on custom entities.

Is there any way to create a zip code field ?
The idea is not to go in the code and stay pretty functionnal. If it is not possible, then it's okay.

This question is mostly for curiosity.

Hi Caroline,

The composite address field is not an available type for customisation. Something like it could be created with code if you wanted to go there.

There is an OOTB Zip/Postal Code field that you can put on your form view. You can change the display name for that field if you need to e.g. to 'Zipcode'.

You could also create a custom text field of a certain length (and if necessary put validation on it to check the formatting is correct with JavaScript).
