Remove Bins: Item has pending transactions

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

We are getting the following error in the Exception report when trying to remove bins from Item/Site Records: ''Item has pending transactions''.

But the item has no quantity in inventory. We also ran the SQL scripts mentionned in the KB 857144 to find allocated, but nothing was found.

We're using IV, SOP, POP, Manufacturing MO, no 3rd party products.

We also reconciled POP documents, SOP documents, and Inventory.

Any idea how to find the 'pending transactions'?

Thanks,

Sylvie

I have the exact same problem. Sylvie, I'm going to post this out in the GPUG forum and see if there might be any answers there. It's been a month since you posted, I don't know if you found an answer.

Here is what solved the problem for me:

I had no open transactions, but there were 3 entries for this item stranded in table IV10003, which is the "Inventory Transaction Bin Quantities Work" table. I removed those records, and then ran the utility to remove the bin from the site. Tools > Utilities > Inventory > Remove Bins (chose my particular bin and my particular site). Now the bin is gone, and all quantities in correct bins look right.

I went to dyndeveloper.com to find the correct table:   dyndeveloper.com/DynTable.aspx

    Thanks, Palma.

In our case, we found some orphans records in table SOP10203. They were coming from an invoice that was in the SOP10xxx tables without customer or dates.

We also found that quantities in Quantity Type 'Damaged' were blocking the remove Bin.  (In the Bin Inquiry, it default to On Hand.  Just change it to All, so you may find other Quantity Types)

Once we transfer these quantities in another bin, we were able to remove the bin/site/item combination.

We also did a research trying to find what tables hold the filed 'Bin'.  So, here they are if that could help someone else.  However this is not including Manufacturing series.

    IV10003

    POP10340

    SOP10203

    SVC00712

    BM10300

    IV10301

    Thanks,

    Sylvie

Thank you Sylvie - I'm making a note of those tables, because I'm sure it will come up for us again some time!
