I have a problem where users who connect via RDP to the TEST or UAT AOS servers with their Windows 10 laptops are causing AOS crashes due to some kind of graphic driver corruption, even though their laptops have the tablet mode disabled.
First thing we notice that if the AX client is executed, the font in the GUI is entirely enlarged and causes all sorts of graphical distortion when list pages are scrolled.
Did any of you experience this before? Any known remedies?
We've discontinued connecting to the PROD with the laptops to fix issues for this reason.

Hi Jack,
I don't face this problem with my devices.
On LCS you can find a tool to upload a crash trace to be able to gather some information. The tool is called: Crash and hung analysis
Hi Jerome,
Yes, I'm connecting with a W10 laptop to a W2012 server that hosts the AOS and the AX client via RDP.
I'm going to be testing this later today with changed W10 display settings.
Maybe stating the obvious, but have you checked the client system requirements for W10?
Windows 10 is supported with cumulative update 8 for AX 2012 R2 and cumulative update 9 for AX 2012 R3 with hotfix 3093274 (mbs2.microsoft.com/.../KBDispl ay.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;3093274).
Edit; when reading more carefully, the laptop OS is Windows 10, but via RDP directly to AOS server? Some kind of terminal server in between? Do you encounter the same via a client install on windows 10 (not going via RDP)?
Thanks Guy, I'll test and report back.

Hi Jack,
I don't know why it might cause an AOS crash, but to resolve the font size, on the Windows 10 desktop do right-click and choose 'Display settings'. At 'Change the size of text, apps, and other items', move the slider all the way to the left. Apply the change. Then logon to your AX remote desktop.
Does it make a difference?
