SharePoint Workflow Approval not re-activating Dynamics GP

We had a few PO's that got stuck in the approval process when someone tried to change approvers mid-stream. After trying to figure out how to get the PO's out of limbo, we decided to deactivate and then re-activate workflow.  that worked without a hitch, and we reconciled purchasing (and inventory) as directed.  The we re-enabled workflow and checked to make sure that the workflow was enabled on SharePoint etc.

So now Dynamics shows the workflow as being enabled - but the "approval ribbon" on the PO's is not there. We have tried deactivating and reconciling and reactivating several times - but no go.  Dynamics can connect to the workflow server - and we have been running this workflow for almost a year without any problems.

Any ideas?

    Sorry if this is overly simplistic, but have you closed GP and reopened it since you reactivated workflow?  If it wasn't in the dex.ini file when GP was launched, the wrapper won't be there until you've closed GP and re-launched it.  -Trevor

    Hi Trevor,

                       At this point I will take ANY suggestions - so yours is not overly simplistic...

    But yes, I have tried restarting.  (Even restarted SQL just for the heck of it...)

    The strange this is that I KNOW that workflow is actually running.  If I look at Purchasing>>Setup>>Purchase Order Processing...the Workflow Setup button is there.  (If I deactivate workflow, the button disappears)  It seems like everything is in place except the approval ribbon on PO entry.

    If you have any other thoughts, I would appreciate your input!

    Did you ever get this resolved ? if yes, could please post here the solution.. if not, can this thread be closed ? I don't have any suggestion here other than to refer back to the setup guide of Workflow for GP 2010. This is no longer a supported version, but some customers still use it out in the field..
