Restoring a deleted environment

Hi All

When restoring environments, you can restore up to 30 days but if the environment is deleted then you cannot restore that environment. That is my understanding. Is there anyway to restore a deleted environment in case of accidental deletion - or can Microsoft restore it if we log a support request?

Thanks

    RE: Restoring a deleted environment

Hi, the following is the information from Microsoft Docs.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/administration/tenant-admin-center-backup-restore#considerations-and-limitations

    • It's not possible to use the Business Central administration center to restore an environment that was previously deleted.

If you end up in the situation where you need to restore a deleted environment, contact Microsoft Support for help. In such cases, Microsoft doesn't guarantee a restore operation will succeed or all data and extensions will be available in the restored database. So before you decide to delete an environment, it's important to ensure that the environment is no longer needed.

PS: We can recover a recently deleted power platform environment in Power Platform admin center. Maybe BC may also have this function in the future.

    Hope this will help.

    Thanks.

    Hi

We had the same concern and this is what we have told

    1) You cannot delete "Production" environment. I never tried this and do not want to try it because it is risky.

    2) If you deleted environment (Sandbox) you can ask Microsoft to restore it for you. But no warranty there.
