International email address is truncated

I'm working with a company that has international customers and vendors, some of which have an extension on their email address. For example a person at a company in Hong Kong has an address that ends with ".hk" such as "name@companyname.com.hk". When they send email SOP invoices from Dyn GP to this person, the email address is truncated in that the ".hk" is dropped. We discovered this when a "Mail delivery failed" message was sent back stating the email address name@companyname.com doesn't exist. If they manually email the message to name@companyname.com.hk, the message is successfully delivered. The full email address is in fact in the email address field in Dyn GP so the problem is in the process of the email message originating in Dyn GP. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any ideas on how to resolve it? Thank you, Liane

    Hi Liane,

    I would have to test this out but it sounds like it would be easy to recreate. If that is the case then it would be a bug/product suggestion. I can look at testing this for you but it will be some time before I am able to setup an environment like this.

    What version of GP are you on? Also what version of Outlook are you using? If you are on GP 2013 are you using Exchange or MAPI settings in GP?

    This could also be a regional issue.  I am based in New Zealand and most addresses are of the form xxx@xxx.co.nz

    I haven't had anyone report any issues.

    Thanks so much for offering to test this out.  The client has been tied up with other things and is presently out of town so I haven't been able to get the specific info.  When I do, I'll let you know.
