management reporter folders within definition sections

hello

In Management Reporter I am building reporting trees based on three different segments of our chart of accounts.

Segment 1 = entity trees

Segment 3 = cost centre trees

Segment 4 = product trees

I have made a folder to put the cost centre trees into and put the appropriate trees into it.

When I close MR and reopen it all the trees are now inside that folder.  Is there a property of a tree that tells it which folder to appear in?

    Ian,

There is nothing that should change the folder to which they belong. Are there other Designers or Administrators of the system that are moving them? Can you reproduce this behavior consistently? if so, it may be a good idea to show it to support. I create folders daily on different installations and have not experienced this.

    hi April

Yes there are other designers however I can say that they were not logged into MR at the time I was.

What I have subsequently found is that once all the elements were in a folder they stopped moving.  i.e. once all the column formats were in a folder they stayed in that folder.  MR was not happy with just one folder.  I don't know that I want to waste a support request for something as trivial as folders.

thanks for the help / suggestions!
