"Default" Account Schedules?

Hi:

Although I knew that its account numbers did not match those of the chart of accounts, I reviewed the "M_INCOME" Account Schedule in one of our companies yesterday.

It seemed to display accurate figures.

Are all such "default" Account Schedules accurate and usable, then, even though they do not contact correct account numbers?

Or, is it better to copy them and modify those copies?

Is there a good tutorial or document, on working with Account Schedules?

Good point, Kim!

The only oddity is that the account numbers in the default schedules are five characters, but ours are four. This is a dumb question. Does that matter? :)

John, account schedules can work if they are using totalling accounts and your accounts fall into the totalling range. I like a little more control and would copy and modify but if it works why bother....
