Tracking clients visits in CRM

Hi!

Our organization needs to track our partners/customers/clients visits to our company in CRM. We need to collect such information as: dates of visit, names, purpose of visit, places visited, presents for customers etc.

As I'm new to CRM I have doubts where should I start and what steps should I make.

Thank you for your support!

    Hi,

Perhaps the best place to start would be for your staff to start tracking appointments in CRM via the outlook client - when you track an appointment from outlook you would then match the attendees to Contacts and users in CRM - you can then identify the extra data that you need to provide. This additional data can be added as custom fields on an appointment or as a separate entity (for example named site visit) that you mark the appointment as regarding.

    See www.youtube.com/watch

    Hope this helps,

    Thanks, Scott!

The problem is not all appointments goes via outlook. As I see this right now - our main aim is only to store visit data in CRM. For visit organization process we have a separate xml form.
