
In reviewing the Payroll Check Posting Register this week, we discovered an "account not found" for an employee. It was the payroll checking account number that was missing. This has not been an issue for the past several payrolls that have been run which included this employee. So now wthe general posting journal for the cash account is off be this amount. Any ideas on what may have happened with this payroll posting?

I have the same question (0)Did the entry post to GL, so now the GL is out of balance? If the entry is populated with an index - the entry will post - even if the index may be invalid.
