Hi,

I have an entity for recording the different statuses of an opportunity. This entity is linked to opportunity entity. This entity has four fields like the opportunity name, follow-up date, remarks and next followup date. I want to make a workflow for sending reminders to the relevant user on the next follow-up date of the opportunity. Like when the next follow-up date comes workflow send an email to the user. I have created one workflow, but it is not working as I was expecting and I need some suggestions what I am doing wrong. Below I am attaching the image of my workflow and the status is still waiting.

Yesterday, I created one test follow-up and give the next follow-up date of today, since yesterday this workflow is on waiting.

Any help or suggestions would be highly appreciable.

Thanks.

Thanks, everyone for the suggestions, it helped me solve the issue.

My new workflow after setting all the steps looks like this. And it is working now.

If I understand correctly you should create workflow with only  first step with  "Wait Condition" with "Process" "Timeout" "Equals" "next follow-up" and then send email in second step.

    Hi,

See an example which I did on Opportunity Est. Close date.

Your workflow should trigger in create and update (of Est. Close date) and follow the steps as below.

    Hi Waleed,

Change the second condition in workflow. Instead of using multiple if statements, use Conditional Branch ( Select first if statement and click on Add step button for Conditional Branch option).

Reason behind your waiting(till infinity) workflow is, your first condition met and second condition is never going to meet (wait until Yesterday's Date = Today's Date).

Also in first condition, add workflow success completion step.

    Hope this helps.
