Block possibility to calculate cost for an item

The released product in my installation include active (produceableand selleable) products, and not active (not produceable and not selleable) products.

For operational reasons I run the mass costing calculation every 3 months and AX tries to calculate every product.

Is there a way to tell AX to skip products based on certain criteria? 

For example the ones that in the default order settings are stopped in the purchase order tab?

or based on some other criterias (maybe no BOM o no ROUTE active) without generating an error.

    Hi Sjoe,


    In Costing Versions Setup (Inventory and warehouse management - Setup - Costing Versions), clicking the Calculation Menu Item opens the cost calculation form, you have there a select button to change the selection filter to choose a subset of your products.

    Hi Sjoe, 

    In inventory management under the periodic jobs you can run the BOM calculations and limit the items for which you want to do this calculation.
